Wearing a school-issued blazer is compulsory. Outdoor coats must be in a plain colour and worn over the blazer. Hoodies, denim or leather coats or jackets are not school uniform items and must not be worn. Umbrellas should be compact and fit into a bag. Large umbrellas are not allowed to be carried around inside the school building.

Flat, plain black in a style suitable for school wear.  No heels, platform soles, ballet style pump shoes or open toed sandals as these are not appropriate for the school environment. No trainers or plimsoll style shoes (e.g. Vans or Converse). Boots and ankle boots are not permitted (this includes ‘Kicker’ ankle boots).

Black Watch tartan kilt available from uniform suppliers (please see below).  Kilt must be knee length or longer.

The kilt must not be worn with the waist turned over to shorten the length.

School trousers are available from uniform suppliers (please see below); navy and must carry the school logo.

White ‘revere’ collar style blouse with long or short sleeves.  A plain white vest may be worn under the blouse for warmth but must not be visible.   

School ‘revere’ blouse (revere blouse with logo optional).

Blouses should be no longer than the jumper or blazer.

Bottle-green V-neck jumper with badge. This must be worn under the blazer.

Plain black or plain dark navy –  knee length.

Black ankle or dark navy socks may be worn during the summer term. These should not have any form of logo.

‘Footsies’ or trainer liners are not acceptable.

Tights - plain opaque black or dark navy.

Hair fastenings, bands and slides should be in black, navy blue or bottle green.

The Hijab should be without embroidery or other decoration and plain black, dark navy blue or bottle green in colour.

Headscarves and wraps should be plain black in colour.

Where hygiene and safety are involved (eg in PE, Science or DT practical lessons, long hair must be tied back.)No extreme hairstyling or hair colour is permitted.

Obvious make-up, coloured contact lenses, long finger nails, nail varnish, nail extensions, false nails and acrylics are not permitted.

False eyelashes are not permitted.

No badges other than school badge.

One small plain pair of studs may be worn by pupils in the earlobe (ie one stud in each earlobe). 

One small plain stud in gold or silver may be worn in the nose.

Any other piercings including upper ear, brow and lip piercings are strictly not permitted, even if covered with a plaster.

Sikh students may wear a slim, steel Kara bracelet.

No other jewellery is permitted.

Please note that any additionally worn jewellery items or ear and nose studs styles that are not included in our school uniform guide may be confiscated by a member of staff and returned to the student or parent/carer at a later date.

PE Kit Policy - Health and Safety - to enable students to participate safely in PE lessons

Please note: all jewellery  must be removed for PE, including any studs that students are allowed to wear for school uniform. 

Headscarves may be worn for PE but must be fastened tightly.

If students are having their ears pierced over the summer holidays this needs to be done at the start of the school holiday so studs can be removed in September. 

Students are required to bring their PE kit to every lesson.

If a student is unable to participate in a PE lesson due to valid illness or an injury they still need to change into a PE kit. Students unable to physically participate in PE will be assigned a suitable 'coaching' role within the lesson to promote inclusivity.
