Planting Oak Trees from Acorns

Today’s young hands are growing tomorrow’s forests.
Hand grown from local oak tree acorns, last March our Sixth Form Student Leadership Team planted two oak trees in the grounds of our upper school. Our tiny acorns have steadily grown into strong saplings and we couldn’t be more delighted.
We are so proud of our Sixth Form students, who are recognise the importance of nurturing biodiversity, creating a living legacy for generations to come.
As well as supporting thousands of species, and improving air quality by absorbing carbon, our fledgling oak trees teach our students about patience, responsibility and how intrinsic nature is to our community.
Two trees, countless lessons.
