Congratulations to our Year 9 students for graduating from The Brilliant Club ‘Scholars Programme’ at Magdalene College, Cambridge University. During the course, our Y9 girls attended university-style tutorials and seminars delivered by PhD tutors, and completed a 2000 word dissertation on DNA
As part of their graduation, students attended a study workshop led by current Cambridge students, followed by a campus tour where they learned about university life and finances, and experienced attending a top university. Students were awarded degree classifications for their dissertations with certificates presented at a University graduation held at Magdalene College, Cambridge.
Thank you @TheBrilliantClub and Congratulations Y9s! We are delighted you have further developed your subject knowledge and passion for learning and hope you are suitably inspired as you begin your GCSE Options process and embark on the next stage of your academic journey at ECSfG.
Our Y9 students were enthralled meeting King Charles at The Huddle Project based at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Students discussed gender and ethnicity representation with King Charles. They attended a Nike workshop before creating a kit design project which had Spurs legend Son's seal of approval. An incredible experience for our girls who conducted themselves with maturity and confidence throughout the day.
Regisa exuded confidence and self-belief at the Jack Petchey Regional Finals Speak out Competition. She was awarded her certificate by the Mayor of Enfield for her speech 'Imagine,' in which she explores the prejudice and difficulties faced by people with disabilities. Regisa left her audience with the message to be kinder to others; we couldn't be prouder of you, Regisa!
Collaborating with Age UK to host our inaugural afternoon tea party. With musical interludes by our chamber choir and literary extracts read by students across Y7 - 10, it was joyful to share tea, cake, memories and anecdotes across generations of Enfield residents.
